Since my mid 20's, I have been on a journey to create and live my ultimate rural lifestyle.

In this time, my idea of what a rural lifestyle is to me has changed. I have tweaked and
re-created my lifestyle many times as my inner and outer world evolved.

I grew up on a hobby farm in the Upper Hunter Region of NSW. When I left school, like most of my friends I headed to the city. After 8 years in the city, I found myself yearning for a life in the bush. I did a lot of soul searching and decided to leave my career as a Sign Writer and begin my journey into Agriculture. At 25, I called it my quarter life crisis! It was the best thing I ever did, I never looked back.

After completing my certificate IV in agriculture, experiencing life on a cattle station in Birdsville & a sheep staion in New Zealand,
I went to live & work on a small sheep farm with a family near Mudgee.

I loved my rural lifestyle, experiencing farm life, learning and applying new skills & being part of a rural community.
It wasnt long before I met my husband Sean in Mudgee & we now have two little girls.

I thought I was living the dream, we were building our own little hobby farm from scratch, growing our own meat & providing a hands on rural lifestyle for our children. But somewhere along the line, I had lost myself in being a mum, a wife & just getting the next thing done.
I felt like my life was snowballing out of control, the never ending to-do list was so overwhelming.
I didn't know who I was or what I really wanted out of life anymore.

All I knew was that I wasn't enjoying life anymore. I wanted to live a more fulfilling life, a life that I activley created & chose. Instead of the life that was just happening to me. So I found support, people that could help me gain clarity, change direction, get out of survival mode & off the hamster wheel for good.

I learnt how to find who I was now, what I really want out of my rural lifestyle & how to create that. My lifestyle will always be a work in progress with lots of exciting & unexpected twists and turns but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now I want to share with you the life experiences, knowledge and skills I have picked up along the way.
